I may be looking for some info on one I just made a deal to buy one off a friend of mine he just bought a second  P-400 so he sold me the one he bought at a jd dealers auction a few years ago for what he paid for it (it was under 2k thought was a good deal for one )  It  fine one of the gauges has a crack in the glass and it not very pretty looking. This is a litte bit of it when I was running the Two 450’s on it a few years ago  this was my 450 on the dyno

this was my girlfriend’s 450 on it

I figured it was a decent deal and to be able to have one is kinda a cool thing I want to find the 10 hp in my girlfriend’s 450 that mine had over it it will be nice to see it it little increments what actually gains and what doesn’t

I thought when it was going it was a good record of the two 450’s on the dyno. I was happy when we did her 450 first and it was pulling 54 hp then we did a few others then my 450. And it was 64 hp now it got me wanting to find ten more horse in her 450 I will someday. But the chance to by a dyno came up and I jumped on it for the price. I will put my 350 I just picked up in Ohio on it in the spring. And a few other we have that I’m curious about

I haven't watched his or any other YouTube video on them.  I go off 25 years experience and the manuals on what oils were recommended for them by the factory.  I could write a book on the way some people fix things.

Picked up my dyno  today we put antifreeze in the heat exchanger then I brought it to work to put inside the heated garage for the winter there’s a few things I will be calling Pete on in the next month to get it just right thinking of repainting  it maybe over the winter not sure if it will be red and white or go back to the original color. I will need to find the little hinges for the top lid along with the latches that hold the HP gauge in. And I will send the gauges out to Pete to be calibrated. That’s why I was thinking of cleaning it all up over the winter and painting it while it’s in a heated shop all winter. I was told that it had a new pump put in it not long before the dealership that had it stopped using it. The pump looks to be a primer red and everything else is all matching paint and dirt  I will have to put some tires on it one of em goes soft it is a recapped white wall tire. Some pictures of what they looked like new would be nice it has a lot of the original stickers still on it.

I have already talked to Pete a few weeks ago we had a nice talk I ordered some books from him. I will tuck it away in a corner of the shop I work at and make a list of what I need and give Pete a call to order some parts up if I can my friend that I got this from ordered some stuff from him yesterday I believe after I picked this up. I’d like to see some pictures of the one Tony did years ago painted up red and white. The one my friend kept came out of a Deere dealership and is painted green and yellow.

I figured they always read a lot more hp than a regular painted one. Never mind if it has a chrome strait pipe and shiny wheels on it.
