  1. This is Verathane gel stain which was the only brand that had the color wife wanted. Yours looks good. I can't get this (bare, new door also) to look the way I want hardly. Two coats today and will need 2-3 more to look like I want it to.
  2. You must use a gel stain. In my opinion "staining" a fiberglass door is like calling a hot glue gun and welder the same tool. Yes, they both change the outward color but don't work the same. I'm sure a gel stain on wood would work fine but on fiberglass it's a giant pain and does not work well.
  3. Fiberglass doors and stain don't mix well. That's all. About 3 more coats and it might look like something....
  4. I found a snake in the woods today looking for deer antlers. It had no head, just a body lying there. (It really wasn't me) I found that odd but the buzzards gotta eat too I suppose. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. Happy Birthday!
  6. Found 6 today.
  7. Happy Birthday to all of those who call this their day. Be good today Tim 😉
  8. Set a shortcut on your Home Screen. I use an apple phone and don't even have a desktop computer. Been working with it that way for probably 10 years or more. Remember that developing apps costs money and this forum is free to use and advertisement free which is a big deal. I personally want it to stay free and advertisement free but that's just my 2 cents.
  9. I bought a white Ertl Loadstar tractor 2-3 years ago. It was used and worn but mostly there. With help from a member here I was able to get a couple old decals to finish it off. I painted it a blue to match the loadstar on the cover of the 1978 buyers guide vs the original white color. These came in several versions but this happened to be the road tractor that originally came with a trailer. The original one in this pic is from the toy museum in Dyersville Iowa. Fast forward a few years and I noticed a trailer on a local online sale that sure looked like an original trailer for my truck. I bought it and got it home yesterday. Sure enough, everything was there and in working order! Im almost afraid to even restore it to match the truck. A few pics. These toys had working 5th wheel locks, a cylinder for raising the trailer, tailgate linkage, landing gear, and walking tandem suspension. I know the blue doesn't match but it's in good shape so it may just stay like this. The truck was rougher and got bead blasted, primer, paint, rebuilt 5th wheel, etc....
  10. There isn't one on it.
  11. I picked up a couple lots of literature in a local online sale the other night. I picked them up today and not everything was described in the auction listing. In among the other items was this sales invoice for an employee lease on a new Scout II. It doesn't say the year but gives base price and options on this particular Scout. I found it interesting.
  12. No classified section here. The idea is to post adds in the magazine. Not my rules but you probably won't get a lot of response due to that. Best of luck.
  13. I've had the exact opposite luck with name brand batteries vs say the Walmart batteries.
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. Ruger should lock their assets up away from Beretta
  16. Interesting. I know beretta makes really nice shotguns and good quality pistols. Never been a fan of ruger centerfire rifles much but their .22cal stuff is unmatched in quality. I hope they remain seperate. Ruger is an American company and hopefully will stay that way.
  17. Painting house. We have been renovating. Painted the entire house from bare drywall in 6 days.
  18. Once you get good with that, learn to forge weld 😎
  19. I was taught gas, stick, and then mig. Mostly stick but after you get that the mig seems fairly easy. We only had 6011 rods and rusty stuff to weld on. The first time I used a clean metal rod it baffled me how nice things looked. 😂
  20. Looking forward to pictures Paul!
  21. Got a few Birthdays today from regular offenders 😊. Happy Birthday Gentlemen! Be good Robert 😊
  22. Very nice of you Nick! sorry about the bad luck with tires...
