Firestone All Traction on W4

Are Firestone 14.9-R26 All Traction FWD tires smooth enough to mount on a McCormick W4. 

The tires are 10ply seems very stiff to me.

Define "smooth enough" please.

Being 10 ply they might be a little challenging to get on the rims, but in my book, "if it fits, it ships." Meaning, I'd put 'em on.

Firestone FWD tires were designed expressly for MFWD tractors that saw severe duty on the front axle like front loader use.  The lugs are closer together than normal and most likely the load rating is higher also.  I would think a Firestone FWD tire is way overrated for what a W4 needs; probably be a real stiff riding beast.

I doubt they would ride rough like a Goodyear long bar short bar does if that’s what you’re asking

W4 see many high mph road  trips or  Long hours in the field on hard ground? 
If the price is right, I wouldn’t think twice, they’d be on

Those radials will ride nicer than the 8 ply bias that would have been on that tractor

This is an original 13x26 Goodyear

A lot of those old tractors tires are really hard from old age. If the price is right I would buy them
