Opinions on a pneumatic slide hammer?

Someone has one of these on marketplace near me.  Asking $150 (not huge discount from new maybe $50/80 off what I'm finding).  Says only used once (was that because it was a POS?) 

Rare, but I've had use for a slide hammer so thought this was interesting.

Never heard of that until now. I'd be very tempted to buy it to see if it did work well at that price.  Being so much shorter than a big slide puller would be an advantage.

How does it vary from an air slide chisel, or my favorite a nail gun?

I've used some Astro Pneumatic tools in the past. They’re generally cheap tools but I haven't been disappointed in any I've had considering the price. I have an old AP 3/8 impact that I bought used in the early 90s. It is gutless as can be but worked perfectly for what I used it. I used it for transmission pan bolts and never had to worry about over tightening them. I zipped them on with the impact and finished tightening by hand.

I've got one and I use it quite a little bit, beats the heck out of pinching your hand with the hammer and you don't have to tire yourself out by trying to swing with all you have.
