Coytee Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Someone has one of these on marketplace near me. Asking $150 (not huge discount from new maybe $50/80 off what I'm finding). Says only used once (was that because it was a POS?) Rare, but I've had use for a slide hammer so thought this was interesting. https://www.astrotools.com/product/stubby-air-slide-hammer/ Worth looking into or is it trash? (hate to sound harsh, just being clear) Quote
yellowrosefarm Posted August 29 Posted August 29 Never heard of that until now. I'd be very tempted to buy it to see if it did work well at that price. Being so much shorter than a big slide puller would be an advantage. Quote
oleman Posted August 29 Posted August 29 How does it vary from an air slide chisel, or my favorite a nail gun? Quote
lotsaIHCs Posted August 29 Posted August 29 I've used some Astro Pneumatic tools in the past. They’re generally cheap tools but I haven't been disappointed in any I've had considering the price. I have an old AP 3/8 impact that I bought used in the early 90s. It is gutless as can be but worked perfectly for what I used it. I used it for transmission pan bolts and never had to worry about over tightening them. I zipped them on with the impact and finished tightening by hand. 1 Quote
756puller Posted August 29 Posted August 29 I've got one and I use it quite a little bit, beats the heck out of pinching your hand with the hammer and you don't have to tire yourself out by trying to swing with all you have. 1 Quote
