Tom Railsback passed away. I don’t know who he was, but someone on YT’s J.I.Case forum asked if someone could post this here.

He was Tuba Case 47, from Montana, I believe.  Liked to give Gary grief on the IH tractor on a Montana Farm discussion.

I meet him several times in person at the local threshing bee.  Had a few Case tractors there all the time.  Thanks for letting us know

Sorry for the sad news but thanks for posting it here. That man knew a LOT about the Case machines. May the Lord be with his family at this time.

...I was able to help hiim with info and pictures for the H/M  three furrow disc plough.....this some years ago..Apparently the plough and the ''M''  were not his..but a good friend....

tried to mae contact with him in 2015 , whilst visiting the Charlie Russell Museum in Great Falls, Montana....but as so often happens...he was away somewhere on that particular day...Such is life..

He seemed a real nice bloke...

Dang it. Tom and I talked quit often. He would call me about once a month or so. I met Gary through Tom.

He had health issues but was always happy to see you. Always came to Gary’s threshing days. He was in the process of moving closer to family so they could help him more.  He was a big time Case collector for sure.

Rest in peace my friend. 🙏🏻

Dang!  So sorry to hear this. Tom did all the logistics to help us when we bought an 806 Wheatland FWA years ago in MT. I joked with him that to get to the ranch where it was stored, we went to the edge of the earth, took a left and went another 30 miles! What a wonderful trip that was, and Tom - TubaCase47 was a lot of the reason it was so great. We spent several days in Great Falls, visited the last production Big Bud off the assembly line, just had such a fine time. Tom showed us his toy collection and a lot of old literature he'd gathered up.
