Does anyone know where these may have come from? As the title says it was in the hydraulic filter compartment. I am not there to physically see or touch them, only complaint is the 3 point is being really picky but will eventually work. I am just guessing but are these chunks possibly part of the packing for the 3 point lift cylinder?

Thanks in advance, Jason

Rubber band from splitting the rear section of TA from when they put the tractor together.

wont argue that @VacDaddyt but I've personally changed the filters on this tractor a couple times plus have been into the pump a time or three, long story, plus the oil was changed at least twice that I can confirm, cant imagine they just now are migrating out, but maybe? I do appreciate the thought.

Rubber band was my first thought as well. The piece standing on edge says plastic. Oil soaked rubber would lay down. It does say hydraulic cylinder to me. Had plenty 656 hitches out and don't remember that. Don't remember a 686 hitch apart though. So answer is I don't know.

I have to go down and look at another tractor for the same fella tomorrow, neighbor of his has a 460 gasser that is coming up for sale soon but I gotta get it to run first, I'll stop by his place on the way and put hands on those pieces to see I can tell anything more!

Why can't people use their words instead of saying that their 3pt, an inanimate object, is "being really picky?" Man that has got to be frustrating as a mechanic.

Could he come up with any words to describe the pieces he found, or did he just expect you to diagnose it from one picture of what appears to be three oil-soaked pieces of Juicy Fruit gum? No reference for size, nothing.

the last two of you nailed things pretty well, owner and operator are good friends but not much on details like that! I checked it out saturday, it is rubber band material and again details would have been nice, local dealer had TA out last spring,  so that mystery is solved, i do not have a clue on the 3point, they are gonna take it to the dealer for that issue I guess! Thank you all for the input, @VacDaddyt you were spot on, just would have been helpful to know they had the TA worked on since I last touched the tractor!
