We’re saving the 1x’s because they are tongue and groove and going to use them upstairs for the remodel project in the house. Was talking to a coworker about it and he said that he had done the same thing, but cut the posts and pulled the building down and then took the tin and wood off from the ground. That may have worked here too but I can use the post for cattle fence posts.

I'm putting a new overdrive section on the trans in the Jeep.  Someone had the transfer case off at some point and substituted rtv for the rear seal on the overdrive. That explains the drip it has had there since I bought it.

Also had the plaster fall down in the living room of the house we live in, so have been clearing out that end of the house in preparation for a crew to come in and gut it. They are going to go back with insulation and drywall on the exterior walls too which should make a big difference in heating and cooling. House was built in the early 1900's and has never been worked on inside, other than paint.

We were planning on new siding for our old house, so we had insulation blown in from the outside. They drilled holes through the siding into the cavity and then filled it. Then plugged the holes. That insulation paid for itself in the first year. I think it cost about $800 at the time and our gas bill dropped that winter and the electric bill dropped over the summer. The following year we did windows and doors and siding and the bills dropped more.

Got the combine started today. Andy S., who is on here sometimes, was here picking apples, gave me a tip on what might be wrong with the unloading auger. Makes sense, going to look into that! Also got the muffler for the 200 and the manifold for the 756 gas ready to paint. Ran the weedeater in the morning and mowed with the CA, great day!

Have a Kubota mini ex here for a few days and borrowed a dump trailer from a friend of mine. Cleaned up two hog houses that we had torn down and have never moved to the burn pit. Three loads of wood and a few concrete blocks made their way into the pit too. Now I’m loading up some logs to go to the farm for firewood this winter. Probably 4 loads in total.

Yesterday I bored out the cam  bearing cavities in two Harley motor cases for the engines a friend is building.  The test case was one the factory needle bearing had already spun in so it could be reused

  The second was a new case so that made me nervous!  Did it on the old Bridgeport with a boring head.  Seemed to work out okay.  No pictures though.  I guess it wouldn't matter since we can't post them anyway! LOL
