Does anyone have a tilt steering wheel kit for a 1486 they would sell?

Scrounge eBay. They pop up once in a blue moon…

I bought all the parts out of salvage yard, for a friends 986. If you can find a 30 or 50 series tractor with tilt wheel it will work, if you have a ta you will have to cut the slot in the dash for it. You can look up 1486 parts book and there is a parts diagram for the tilt wheel under the steering section. Good luck

The 86 series should have had tilt wheel available as an option from the beginning.

It should've been standard, it is my biggest gripe with the 86 series cab.

At least optional from the beginning.

Rather common for tall long legged animals like moose, and elk to do that as well. But all pickup trucks and many SUV's being taller too today maybe not as much as 30 and 40 years ago.

I did not even realise I had one till I replaced seals on hand pump.

Mechanic told me it's basically the same exact setup lurking under the dash of the 71, 72, and 89xx tractors with a few modifications. The ROPS version of the Magnum in the Operators Manual photo had an IH style steering wheel all the way through the 89xx. Never sat in one of those out in the wild to confirm the setup but in the pic it's clearly an IH style wheel. They finally got over the Case style by the 8900's but still couldn't bring themselves to use tapered spokes for a better view of the dash.
