When expressed as X/X the units don't matter on a taper; inches or mm it will be the same taper. I am wondering if that is the taper though; 7/24 is the machining industry standard self releasing taper. A 3/23 taper would be in the self locking category. 23 is a really weird base number though. The 3/23 was just a guess on my part. It comes out rather close to the inch calculations being 3mm is just under 1/8 and 23 is under an inch. Quote
