looking for some help and/or advice here. What is the difference for a 574 rear fender flat tops? On the parts catalogue one is listed as a row crop fender and the other is listed as a non-row crop fender. Does anyone know the difference I need to get a new fender? My left fender is about 3 inches taller than my right fender so obviously somebody had swapped them out at some point, the tires on my tractor are

The Utility model has 30" tires, flanged rear axles, stamped steel wheel centers, while the row crop version has 38" tires, bar axles, and cast steel centers with 8 large holes. 

I would imagine he row crop fenders are taller to accommodate the taller rear tires. By about 3" if I were to hazard a guess.

Makes sense, my axels stick out past the rims by about 8” or more, so is the taller fender a row crop fender? Taller than the regular fender? Left fender is 3” taller than right side. Not sure the difference between a row crop or regular model. I’ve read 584’s had smaller rear tires and 674 had the 18.4-30 but also read they put the 18’s in 574’also. Just need the taller right side fender. Ugh

So it has the bar axles? Hmm. Now that you mention it I think I have seen them with bar axles and stamped steel 30" wheels. 

I'm just going by "taller tires, taller fenders" logic here. Being your tractor has 30" rears, shorter fenders may be correct. Personally I would go with whichever one looks best first, and secondarily, whichever one is easier to find.

My 674 is a row crop. RC stamped in the model number as a suffix. It has bar axles, cast hubs, steel center disc and 30” rubber. I assume the 574 was available that way as well.

I’m assuming the “bar axel” means that it sticks out past the rims? I’m coming from a Ford 8n, lol. This is all new to me. The serial number is stamped RC.    I 574D-RC tag says. So, is the taller or shorter fender the correct one? It’s all apart now getting ready to paint but I’d like them to match up.

with 16.9x30 tires , the fender top cleared the tires about 4 inches -- flat top fenders 
with your 18.4 the clearance would be some less -- maybe 2 inches 

yeah, bar axle means the rim will slide out the axle on a hub , rather than being bolted to an axle flange that is part of the axle

It’s hard without pics. The flanged axle would be like the Ford. A flange with bolts on the end of the axle. The bar axle is just a plain axle with nothing on the end and yes may extend past the wheel. It may have a hub clamped to it that has the bolt flange or it may have a cast wheel center that clamps to the axle and clamps or bolts to the wheel. The hub will have a pressed steel center that attaches to the wheel. I don’t know which fender is correct. I would assume the taller one.
