  1. Hi I have an Oliver 1755 and need to take out the engine and was wondering what size and thread the 2 lifting studs were so I can attach eyelets. Thank you
  2. Would anybody know of a place where I could get a sickle bar for this mower in ny or online?
  3. Hi I was wondering what model mower this is. It was in the back of our barn and was wondering where to get a sickle bar for it because it is currently missing one. Thank you
  4. Hi, I just recently did the head gasket on my 706 w/ a D282 and noticed idling the water temp was ~190 degrees. Is this high? And what is a temperature that is considered too hot when running the engine. I want to be careful so I don’t crack the head. Thank you
  5. I am trying to hook up a coolant gauge to my 706 d282. I am trying to put the adapter in the port and can not get it to thread correctly and catch. I can not tell if it is 3/4 coarse or pipe thread. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. Thank you all for your advice. It does not puke any coolant and the level seems to stay above the fins in the radiator but I have not used it that much. I will make sure to keep an eye on it next summer to make sure it is not losing coolant. Thank you again for the help.
  7. Hi, I have a farmall 706 with the d282 motor and it seems to have a little blowby out the crankcase breather. Also it smells like it is burning antifreeze a little. There is no water in the oil and It does not smoke out of the exhaust. I was wondering if you guys think it is cracked head or blown head gasket. The link shows the the blowby. Thank you https://youtu.be/WA8_qmpweCU
  8. I figured it out. I used a torch to heat the rivets up a bit and then peened them over and it worked very well. I did forget to mention that I also installed a new reman cover, reverse pivot arm, shift cam lever and detent arm roller kit. It shifts good but I believe I still need to shift the dump valve and/or transmission brake because when I push in the clutch in reverse on a hill, the tractor does not free roll. It just holds and stays in place and locks the range shifter. I did notice that when I pulled back the T/A, it made it possible to shift and it would roll on the hill. Thank you for your replies and advice, -Ryan
  9. Hi, I have recently purchased a new detent plate and rivets for my farmall 706 transmission. I was wondering how you install the new rivets. It seems that there is a lot of material to try to peen over. Any advice would be appreciated. -Ryan
  10. Do you guys think that cabs for bigger farmall's would be compatible with the 460 like the 806 cab or or 84-86 series cab?
  11. Does anybody know if I.H. Made a cab for a farmall 460?
