Can anyone help me out. Thanks Based on the serial number's prefix of 274 I think you have an International 270A backhoe that had final assembly in the United States and the 1043rd one built. But for finding parts you really need just the model number (270A if I'm correct) and maybe the last few numbers (1543) if there was a design change or serial break. It should say the model number on the line above the serial number (2740150U001543) on the same tag. You may also need the engine serial number when looking for engine parts, which should be stamped into the side of the block on the left side. Got any pictures of your machine? digrayrut Posted January 26 Posted January 26 The cylinder rod for bucket keeps bending when I'm trying to remove stumps. I've already had it replaced twice and not using the bucket now. I'm thinking the pop-off valve is stuck. Any suggestions on what to do? Quote

The simple facts are IH spent $0 R & D , 1 and done plug the market gap for 3 yrs.Too many patents to circumvent. Parts support was NLA 50 yrs ago. Too lite /no R & D Relegate to landscape work like ours. Buy a case but they can also be broken easy by some 1st gen cats were great. Had to get a #1500 ,piece of (fiber/air) concrete out, to proceed with pour , trucks onsite....jack hammered an hour already. Had #15K weight on front bucket. jack hammer/curl repeat 5x where lines(proprietary mm ) should have been popping. When it finally broke loose the shock wave,cracked the block joints 14' to roof. (1 man 2/hr repair) vs 20 standing around. Quote

Are you saying you are bending the cylinder rod circled in red in this picture? That is a pretty large rod, pretty impressive for 2500 psi system. I looked in the service manual and it doesn't mention anything about too much pressure, just low pressure. When it bends are you curling the backhoe bucket under a stump? Quote
Dirt_Floor_Poor Posted January 27 Posted January 27 If it’s the cylinder on the loader it’s because you are severely over loading it. I have seen a bunch of front loader bucket cylinders bent from dozing with them. The loader frame can also be broken if you get rough enough. But, we need to hear which bucket you’re talking about. Front loaders are really only meant for loading somewhat loose material. Quote
