Dirt_Floor_Poor Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 There was a family in my small town that all had about the same mental capacity, and it wasn’t much. They used to hire out to do manual labor on some farms. They were always completely filthy, so bad that most people didn’t even let them ride in the cab of the truck. But, a bunch of them lived in the same falling down house and they had somewhat of a life. There would be no place for them on our farm now. If A I could run a planter, I would try it. Around here, I never know when someone isn’t going to show up for a week. Make plans about what we are doing tomorrow the night before and then not come in for week. They don’t think anything of it. And these are hourly employees who do not get paid if they aren’t here. Quote
Powered by IH Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 Aww man, I'd love to do that job! Too far away though. Where are you located in central WI? Quote
New Englander Posted December 18, 2025 Posted December 18, 2025 My wife is admin in a high school. If there's a problem kid it become obvious the apple hasn't fallen far from the tree when the parents are called in. The good kids all have good parents, the entitled kids have entitled parents. Although it may be a sweeping generalization most kids follow their parents teaching or lack thereof. 1 Quote
