Ken Tisdall Posted April 25, 2025 Posted April 25, 2025 Hi everyone trying to source carburettor parts for my TD18 with Model C12 Carburetor in particular Gaskets if any one knows where they could be sourced Cheers Ken Quote

IHRedRyan Posted April 26, 2025 Posted April 26, 2025 Do you have the old ones intact by chance? Quote
Binderdan Posted April 26, 2025 Posted April 26, 2025 I assume you mean this carburetor. I also need a kit for one. Not having much luck either. I have located gaskets #36, #41B, #42A, #44, #56, #46, #61, #61A and #41 I think. And packing #7, #8, #17, #25, I need to order them and verify. All new or NOS. These should cover all gaskets and packings for this carburetor. It looks as if there was never a "kit" offered for these carburetors, just individual parts. I would like to verify fitment of these new or NOS parts and come up with a kit. Maybe @IHRedRyan can make digitize and make some of the gaskets, and we can come up with some packings to offer these kits new. I doubt we will make any money on it but I enjoy the challenge. No luck with floats though, but the book says its made of cork? Ken Tisdall can you verify? Quote
IHRedRyan Posted April 26, 2025 Posted April 26, 2025 I’m good with that plan Dan, see what the fitment of the NOS ones is like and we’ll go from there. I’d be interested to see what we can come up with for packing. I’ve been trying to find some for sediment bowls locally without luck. I know that the carbs used on all the letter series gas start diesels were similar , we’ll have to do a deep dive to see how many models these gaskets are compatible with. I checked the Fuel Bowl Gasket 32606DA for example and it was used on a whole bunch of models. MD, WD-6, WD-9, TD-6, TD-9, TD-14, TD-18, TD-24, TD-14A, TD-18A I don’t see any serial number breaks for the TD-18 on that gasket, but we’d have to be conscious of that too . Quote
hector gemme Posted April 26, 2025 Posted April 26, 2025 If you can not find some I could check monday I should have some for TD18 HECTOR 2 Quote
Binderdan Posted April 27, 2025 Posted April 27, 2025 Well look what I found! Guess we might not need to get creative after all! IHRedRyan for packings I usually source them from McMaster Carr. Might be a good place to check for your sediment bowls. https://carbkitsource.com/kits/ck9602.html#gsc.tab=0 I think the TD-18s may be the only one that used the big C-12 starting carburetor. The others I have seen like my TD-9, TD-14, and MD used the smaller one like this. https://carbkitsource.com/kits/ck9600.html#gsc.tab=0 1 Quote
