140 clutch not working

My 140 has not been used for almost a year. The clutch will not allow you to put in gear. Is it possible that something is stuck? any ideas appreciated

Quite likely clutch disc is stuck to flywheel or pressure plate or both. If tractor was stored out of the weather. You may be able to jar it loose. Get it out in an open area. Start it in second or third gear. Two thirds throttle and repeatedly stomp and release the brakes with the clutch pedal held down. If unsuccessful it is probably quicker just to split and repair.

Another method is "rocking" the tractor with the pedal down and in 4th gear 

Just as it sounds the goal is to put jarring load on the gears and knock the clutch plate loose
-- rock the tractor back and forth hard as you can
-- get a helper if you are weak

Had a semi that would do that over the winter - I eventually cut a board that would hold the clutch pedal down when parked.  Problem solved.

My new Kubota came with a wooden block to put between the clutch arm and the platform when parking the tractor for extended periods.
