This is my dads H that spun a bearing running the auger it sat through last springs huge rainfall the manifold was cracked where the muffler went down and filled with water but we. We brought the crankshaft in to town and got it ground to 40 under and got it new rings. Hopefully I will be able to work on in soon we are waiting on a new main bearing cap. I've got this engine torn down as much as it can be.

Suggest checking  cleaning oil pump the drive shaft wood ruff keys were shot on mine , and the dies. Cast cover needs to to be absolutely flat to seal. The only gasket to use is by Case ih others are to thick , needs to be .005 .

what recommendations I say

I would investigate the cause of the failure in order to fix that too, just to be sure it doesn't happen again.

Like what 560Dennis said with the oil pump.
