Dave Shepard Posted July 19 Posted July 19 I'm running a 9370 at work and I'm only getting two stages on the Jake brake. The connectors at the Jake were a little loose and dirty. My first attempt at cleaning them I successfully managed to get it dish to just one stage. A second attempt and I'm back at two stages. These are like a bullet connector that's looks like it's soldered on. any suggestions for diagnosing would be appreciated. Can I check for voltage at these connections? Thanks Quote
Dave Shepard Posted July 21 Author Posted July 21 I was able to look into this issue on Sunday. There is no wire running from the three way switch to one of the heads. No idea why. I can jump each head to + power and they are working, so it's just a wiring issue. 3 Quote
acem Posted July 22 Posted July 22 When I bought my 9370 I tried the jake brake switch on the dash. Nothing happened. Later I had time and was checking the wiring on the engine. The engine has been replaced and does not have a Jake... Would like to add one but never have. Quote

Dave Shepard Posted August 6 Author Posted August 6 Latest update is I have power at each head, but still getting an interrpted sound. I'm thinking one, or more cylinders may need to have the lash adjusted. The reason for only two wires is that this particular setup only needs two. One wire controls one head, the other does two. Older wiring diagrams had three individual wires. Quote
