  1. Speaking as a quality control chemist for a paint manufacturer, believe me, it's not less expensive having to reformulate existing products to meet shifting environmental standards. Most of the trouble is that not only is there a national standard for maximum VOC limits, but many states also have their own limits and in some cases theirs are lower than the national standard; think of California and their CARB B.S. for vehicles. It can also be pretty tricky getting the new formulation to at least act similarly to what customers are used to seeing.
  2. Don't see the cream ones too often, at least I haven't. Should be a tag on the left hand side of the motor.
  3. Personal preference. Got the original tri ribs on the 986, 10.00 16, and 786 has 9.5L 15. I know quite a few guys that prefer four ribs on hay ground.
  4. Hadn't heard of them but their stuff looks good.
  5. Thanks guys. I've seen what Jensales offers and have never been impressed.
  6. I need to get a manual for a tractor I recently bought. The original IH manual is long gone and I'd like to get a good copy. Are the reprints from CaseIH worth looking into? Should I look elsewhere? This'll be for a 786.
  7. Thanks everyone. Guess I better start scouring marketplace since farm auctions are practically nonexistent anymore.
  8. Hey all, My Buyer's Guides are all packed away due to a home renovation, otherwise I'd just flip through those. Was curious what model blades that IH offered during the 86 and 88 series? Were they made by IH or someone else? Are they decent? Got a possible project in the future and if things fall into place I may potentially be looking for one. Or more.
