Been tinkering around with the idea that instead of gravel connecting the shop, bins, and steer barn, I would make it into Concrete. I'm hesitate however because I don't know if putting concrete in place of the gravel patch would draw back from some realism of a dirty lower income farm I am looking to present. I also redid the steer barn and got rid of the weird L shape. The old Idea has green next the the lane. Any color that is the same as the lane is a "driveway". Also any light gray is what I am putting as a gravel base. The lane will be naturally built up a bit higher.

Not red, but in the same family. Dad fixed the Case 970. Steering ball joint went out, so he replaced that. Works like a charm now. That's all we did today, other than admire the David Brown 990, and Farmall 504, truly works of craftsmanship!

Does anyone has any suggestions on feed bins. At first I was leaning towards this one (top) , but now I am thinking about having a friend 3d print me one like this (Middle/Bottom). Not sure what I want quite yet. 🤷‍♂️

I have that set already! Only problem I found with that barn is the door is too short for some of my equipment.

Nice! I like that barn. You said I could cut the doors bigger, that would work nice! That would make for a good shop, but I think I still want to make my steer barn by scratch

Fair isn't until August 1. But I will surely be putting together a "rough draft set", without gravel, dirt etc. I will also keep you updated on buildings I am building. I plan on making the steer barn, shop, and manure storage all from scratch.

I want to build a 1/64 scale farm toy display for my county fair. Any pointers or tips would be appreciated. I am basing my build off of a small steer farm in rural Northwest Ohio. My equipment line up, IH 3688 hooked up to a Case IH Grinder Mixer, IH 1486 hooked up to a New Holland Manure spreader, Alis Chammers D-21 hooked up to a John Deere Bush Hog, Case 1845C skid steer White 60 which is hooked up to the wheel rake, Red livestock trailer, 2 flatbed trailers, and a New Holland Round Baller.
