Fixingdaily Posted July 24 Posted July 24 My 706 gas falls on its face and dies if I move the throttle to idle quickly. I assume that I need to adjust the bumper spring bolt inward to help with that? Idle is set at 500rpm. All the linkages are adjusted properly, I believe Quote
HydroTek Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Bumper spring just takes the surge out of the govenor sounds more like you have a carb issue worn throttle shaft bushings Quote
Fixingdaily Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 I will check that out. It wants to run a bit lean cuz I noticed when I pull the choke out a bit it speeds up Quote
Fixingdaily Posted July 24 Author Posted July 24 Stopped just a minute ago to quickly check out the throttle shaft. All seems tight. Then I noticed the probable problem. The last person that reinstalled the carb (not me) did not use a gasket. I’m betting that might make a difference. Quote
