  8. Hello all it is me again with another question about a TD6 Steering clutch. I have finally got all of the steel and fiber discs out of the drum. My question is this will the drum and internal splined shaft fly apart due to the spring if the bolts are removed from the back there is three if I counted correctly. Hello all its me again I have one steering clutch out of the TD6 all of the plates are seized in the drum i have finally got three out. anyone have any ideas on how to get them out without ruining them I do not have finances to replace very many and I am going to have to go through both clutches as dozer will not turn left or right, Also could some one give me a breakdown on how the discs are placed in the drum , is it a steel then fiber, steel, fiber and do you finish up with a fiber ?

  15. can anyone tell me where I possibly can find clutch parts if needed? I do need one part now a release shaft bearing and bushing.? I Kinda broke an ear off one trying to get it up off of release shaft.

  17. Louie is there oil in the case under the brake band that will come out when inspection cover is removed ? Also is there any way to spray penetrating oil into steering clutch assembly to try free clutch up with out removing the clutch assembly? Thanks in advance Bob

  23. Got TD6 running fine Transmission shifting fine. Dozer moves forward in all 5 gears and back in reverse. NEW PROBLEM steering clutches will not disengage tracks dozer will not turn left or right. Any and all ideas greatly appreciated Thanks in advance.
