  1. Howdy All! I have a 1990ish International Harvester (Dresser) 100G crawler loader with ripper I use on my land here in Nevada. It is running as well as you can expect for a 35 year old tractor with about 8,000 hours. Back around April of this year the hydraulic hose ( Item 11 ) between the Suction Strainer ( Item 8 )and the Charge-Scavenge Pump ( Item 14 ) split. I tried to "dash" through the sand dunes from the spot it split over to our gravel road but it ran out of hyd fluid about 20 feet short. I replaced the hose and refilled the hyd tank under the operator's seat. I checked the service manual and didn't see anything about "priming" the hydraulic system. I can start it no problem. The bucket / ripper hydraulic system works fine. But the drive system doesn't work. I let the engine idle for about 30 minutes to see if it would "prime" (it did not). The drive hydraulic system appears to be "dry" (air but no hydraulic fluid). I checked the hyd strainer for debris (it was clean), filled it with hyd fluid and re-sealed it. Sooo, does anyone have recommendations for other actions to get the crawler-loader moving again? Thanks -- Will Mayberry
