  1. Put the engine on the stand and pulled off the head today. No. 1 cylinder is rusty....the others look good. I've got that cylinder soaking. Where do you guys buy your sleeves and pistons from? Stiener doesnt have anything for the c164 motor....but Agkits has both the stock size and the overbore kit. I'm going to keep it stock but replace all the sleeves and pistons(wear ridges). I'll upload pictures later.
  2. Thanks guys. Plan to leave the Super motor stock. Exhaust was covered but motor is stuck....not sure why. Still haven't started the teardown yet as a few things have priority. I figured the original H driveline wasn't strong enough for a big hp increase....so didn't plan on pushing it too hard. I could have the entire back half of the Super....but its at a friends house 950 miles away. My H motor runs well but fouls plugs quickly so I'm fixing this old girl one way or another.
  3. This will be my first dry sleeved engine but I've rebuilt many automotive and medium duty truck engines.....so the things out of tolerance I'm prepared for. My question is the bolt up going to be the same? I have the entire Super engine....fan to flywheel. Don't want to get this Super engine completely rebuilt and find out the engine won't fit. Thanks
  4. Greetings all. I have a 42 Farmall H distallate tractor that the engine is fouling plugs and using oil. A friend gave me an engine off his scrap Super H that was a runner when parked 30 years ago. The engine is stuck but still had antifreeze in it and uncontaminated oil. My initial plan was to do an inframe rebuild on mine but I'd like to go thru the Super H motor and bolt it in. Have any of you guys tried this? From my research the blocks, heads , gaskets and such look the same. The Super H had been parted out to the point that restoration was unlikely for you guys that are cringing btw :)
