I'm just absolutely blown away and it's all IH!

Thank You to you and the others above that made very kind comments.

As far as staying with I.H. we tried everything we could .  Non I.H.: is the Radio, wheels, Vintage air, Carb is Edelbrock. Had to make a fuel tank none we found were good or would fit in original space. By making it, we kept it were it should be. Its still fueled in same hole as before we just made it a little less conspicuous.

The seat frames are the originals ,they had some beefing done to them but tried to retain the arm on side of seat that allows us to fold seat forward. That was present in most I.H.'s I drove in the day. We adapted the old style oil bath cleaner to a paper filter using the same cleaner shell,  Same distributor ,rebuilt with electronic Ignition.

I registered truck two days ago ,DMV needs to inspect it being from out of state & restored.  I have it sitting in Rob's personal garage across town until my trailer arrives or I find a safe clean spot for it . Hopefully my shed will be done by end of Nov.

 Guys ,

My enclosed trailer finally arrived at dealer today , Got over late in day to see it.

I will pick it up  Monday 10/16/17  Then make Appointment at DMV for truck and then bring it home .

Store it in trailer till shed is built and find a spot for it among the Red Girls.

Trailer  has escape door on left side , Wrench, E-trac. tie downs,   Longer hitch, and 110 plug for led lights along with auto plugs, & Upper cabinets,  Loading lite.  Six lug wheels , all Aluminum , GVW of 9990 lbs. 26 foot.

Would of been very difficult to stay under 10,000lbs  GVW, spec'ed this way if steel frame.

Tony,

Spent most of the night reading your posts on this awesome IH truck build! The truck looks outstanding! Congratulations!

thank you for bringing us with you on the journey. I am usually over on the construction portion of Red Power. Found your truck thread and was captivated!

The strip and repaint even had me going OH NO!

I wish you the best on the car show circuit too. Flawless is pretty hard to beat!

Hope you can great a few of those $75 plastic trophies that you can dust. And along the way have a great time visiting and answering questions! There will be a lot because, it will stand out among the Ford and Chevys. Most folks will never have heard of a IH truck! So you will have a lot of explaining to do!

Regards,

 Chris

Today , I finally met with a DMV Vehicle verifier .

Being binder was brought in from out of state and not registered for three years while being restored and the fact it was restored they need to verify  Vin# s , Engine #s and all safety requirements before issuing plates.  Now I have everything in hand for my DMV appointment on 10/30/17.

Also brought the new trailer home.  It will be its home ,perhaps permanently, depending on they shed.

After I get the registration done , then Rob will detail it take it for long drive make sure it does not leave us stranded ,then it comes home.  "FINALLY"

Finally got the binder registered and road legal today. Ordered the black plates with yellow letters , they tell me 90 days out. But I have all temp paper work to be legal on road.

Thank God for the mobile Vehicle Verifier , He save me a lot of inconvenience.

Unfortunately, Rob flew out today to Semi Show in Vegas for all week.

Hopefully when He gets back on Monday he can finish the passenger door handle and get Her Detailed and put few miles on Her and I'll bring her home

Started this process Oct of 2014.

Aw it missed SEMA!  That would of been so neat

Yeah , It also missed  a big drag the main event two Saturdays ago  in Fresno.   That I had it registered for , OH well I got the T-shirt .

We dragged the main on Fulton street downtown Fresno in 50'60's City fathers decided to make an outdoor mall of Fulton , Downtown went to ****,  Fast forward to 2017 they ripped out mall and returned Fulton Street .

They opened it with great ceremony and invited all past draggers to be part of celebration , BUT ALAST WE WERE WAITING FOR AN APPOINTMENT FOR VEHICLE VERIFICATION.

All done now , When Rob gets back do odds and ends , detail, bring home .

Great journey but really tries one's patients !

     LADIES AND GENTLEMEN !

I finally picked the Binder up today ! Rob and I drove around town a little to make sure everything works.

I took the trailer so he could show me his way of loading.

We used the wrench to bring her in slowly .  We used axle straps on axles and attached straps to them in a criss ,cross fashion.

He says if you only tie down tires that vehicle will shift in rough or whiny roads and cause a repaint situation . That scared me enough.!

Some pic's , Its still in trailer at home till I find a little time to  secure  a safe clean spot area for it in one of sheds.

Its been a long journey 3 years two months, lot of frustrations and excitement but a great learning experience.

I thank God for the opportunity !

FYI  Third pic my right arm Bob watching Rob do some finishing touches. 4Pic Carol videoing Rob getting it ready for trailer. Last pic, Rob did a lengthy video of the truck before loading calling out the items he felt needed to be recalled and point out the finishing touches that he was proud of.

Thank You Sir ! Very kind of you.

I am hoping that maybe if South Dakota, Huron, has another RPRU that I will bring it .

It was there that I saw a white  one in the parade and it triggered my memory.

Easy....he's no spring chicken.  Let's just pray for another day before 3 more years!  :D:D

I like the little smooth things he did.  Bumpers are tucked tight, the tailgate airbrushing, wheel placement is perfect, stance correct, everything just flows.  I still think SEMA next year.  Would that be considered a short bed or lonb bed?  I thought it was a 8' but now looks like 6' since smoothing and lowering.
