that welder is well over 2000#,  the poles work great, but it sure is a load on the springs.   Time for airbags and low boy tires

The Biggest downside to my old sa200, weight.

Looks good.

Thanks, and I agree the weight sucks.  Then this is a 300, with a 6 cylinder, ufda

headed north today for a repair, all the way to Deadhorse if the weather cooperates, there's been a good bit of snow in Atiguin pass

Someday I'd like to take a tour through the Yukon and spend a few days touring around the back country. Gone that far Alaska is just a hop and a skip lol. Would be nice to tour through some of that countryside too.  Call me crazy but I'd sooner go through the bush in the middle of no where and explore old mining and logging roads then sit on the beach at some fancy resort.  Some people spend 5or 10,000 on a holiday. I'd sooner spend it on a snowmobile or quad and go touring in the bush lol.

Nice pictures and views as usual

That's how I ended up here, love of the back country. It's hard to believe I am raising my children in land that most consider a dream vacation

Yup not a bad place to be at all. I see some of your snow from the north made it down into Alberta though. Whitecourt area got hit pretty hard yesterday. Hasn't made it here yet and I'm just as happy if it stays away for a while yet. Sure has cooled off though. Week ago I was sweating my but off working on equipment. Today now I was looking for my winter coat so I could go do some work at the sawmill lol.

working on reconfiguring the pipe for some of the old pumps.  Current pump is an original Rolls Royce jet running 25,000 Hp. The exhaust turns a turbine that turns a pump cranking out some serious flow.  When they use it, currently they only need one of the two pumps on stand by. So we are cutting the 2nd pump take off out of the system.

3 inches of snow and the temperature is dropping, here comes winter

One of the underground mines I worked at flooded, and a company was hired to pump it out.....several millions of gallons. They brought in a Rolls engine pump on two tractor trailers, set em up, and pumped water like no one around here has ever seen.

Worked at another mine that after I had been gone a couple years caught on fire. Was burning for several days. Same company was hired and brought in their engine. They funneled the exhaust down the intake, and snuffed out the fire by driving all the oxygen out.

Not sure how much fuel that dude burns, but in both instances a tanker truck followed them in and hooked up. Quite an apparatus to see. They had to anchor the engine trailer down with ground ties onto pylons they set under the trailer. Didn't take them long, they knew what they were doing, and it was obvious that wasn't their first rodeo

She burns 30,000 gallons a day, and can you say "GET SOME!"  Step 6 in the start up procedure is to call and order 100,000 of fuel.   The fuel meter looks like the Grizwold's electric meter on Christmas Eve.  It is crazy how much the legacy pumps would do

I get a new truck every trip, just go down to dispatch and pickone.  The newest one is gas, has 9,000 miles and is a half ton.

See you in December.  Tickets to Orlando December 17th.  PM me, and let's see what comes of it
