If they could have stayed in the SUV business.....

It would have been a rough ride on the jack stands LOL!! It sure looks outdated for 1976 , resembles something of the late 60's.

Apparently they wanted a truck with car styling to compete against station wagons and Suburbans.

I see a GM styling influence.

Early 1970s Chevrolet or, to my eyes, the Australian (General Motors) Holden Kingwood from the early 1970s

So about 35 years later FORD takes this route for their Explorer and Escape ! Wondered where they got the idea. ☺

That mini-van would have been way ahead of it's time. Look at what Chrysler made on the Caravan. Might have saved IH. That concept still looks good and would have been very popular.
