New member here, and started on my 51' Super C project in the garage here at home ( my wife has to park outside for a while). Replaced the head gasket a few years ago, and all the valves looked good, so that's one less thing to do. Mechanically, the tractor runs great, but the exterior needs attention along with some gaskets. It's not going to be a show tractor, and will be put to work along side my 460 when it's time to make hay this year. Hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures up when she's completed.

Here's my Farmall 450. It was a very straight original tractor that we use regularly but this past winter I decided to make a real head turner out of it. Ran great when I brought it in the garage but made a whole new wiring harness and went over everything just to freshen it up a bit. Also added a set of original bolster frame weights. I love the look! Not quite finished with the rest of the sheet metal yet but I do a little bit here and there on it now that farming has been busy this spring. I may have to pull the 300 in the garage next winter!

This is the 340 dozer before! What my cousin said while picking it up was it is worth more scrap than repairing it!

My son's and I are rebuilding our 460D.

So far we have gone through the head with all new valves guides seats springs and seals along with resurfacing it.

The engine we did an out of frame master kit on it.

Then we had to put in new clutch disk flywheel and pressure plate in the TA along with a TA service kit (seals gaskets). While in there we found the PTO driven shaft was busted inside the coupler. So we put in a new one of those too.

The engine is back on the tractor and front end is back under it as of today. Still need to finish her up and adjust everything again. But it's getting close.

I finished the repaint of my 1963 706 gas.

post-39779-0-56440300-1405472183_thumb.j

It is a straight well cared for tractor that was mechanically complete and sound. It just needed fresh paint and a few other minor items.

This pic was taken in front of the dealership where I work.

Okay. We have the engine on, timing set, valves set and both clutches adjusted. We have all the paint work finished with exception to the front rims. Once I get those painted I have a nice new set of tires going on them. All we need is coolant and fuel and it's ready to fire it up.

As a reminder we are not painting the tins (rat rod look) at this time. My son is angry and will probably convince me to do it later.

I'll update with some final pics ASAP

Well it started up a left the shed under its own power last night. Ya!!!

After a small issue with the starter we bled the fuel system and it started surprisingly easy compared to other diesels I've had apart.

We plan to paint the front rims tonight and put new tires on in the morning. We need to finish bolting the tin on it and she make her maiden voyage Sunday in a local tractor ride and show.

Here is YouTube video of the old girls start up.

Looks like my grandfathers 57'. Very pretty tractors with the two tone paint. Mine needs restoration also. Looking forward to more pictures.
