We have a 02 and can't recall the brand of control. But its simple. Then we bought the neighbors 80s reel in 13. After 1 season without controls we got a matermac. With the knob. It's dif but honestly I kinda think simpler. And no buttons is nice. We've redid a few on the old one. We dont do any of the zone BS just run #4. It's silly the things you can program it for. Its irrigation for pere sake. How is your river? Here is 5' maybe depth. Hear the Stilly is real low.

Troy, River is running 8,500-9,000 CFS, Since the Wa.DOE lost to the tribe in Wa. state supreme court late in 2013 our surplus river water vanished with the stroke of a pen with ruling. Currently trying to get excess water right from city of Anacortes to bail us out, The city council voted on it Monday night with unanimous decision to do it now waiting for DOE to push paper, Thank God there are people in the area that still support Ag. We tried with the local PUD the tribe scared them so all they gave us was a 24 hour window last Tue.

I have been using PUD hydrant water for on the west end of the Island for 10 days at a cost of $100.00 / ac. each time over. yes it's expensive, however, when I have $ 2,500-3,000 /ac invested whats another $2-300/ ac.

The amusing part is the PUD updated to a 14'' mainline across the island 2 years ago at the time they said they could supply irrigation water to every one with this new line, I went and got a PUD meter 10 days ago and started using their water their system fails to keep up with my demand of 325 GPM so they won't allow any more users to hook up to their system at this time, The island people aren't happy since the static pressure is lower for their homes.

Kinda dark pic but what you got. Uncle's 5830. Put $20k into it last fall. Pump freaked out and washed a cylinder down and he wont check oil to see it was full of fuel so, boom. 20k would have a custom guy mow n chop for 5 years for him. I am helping today since our cousin cant help. After 6 loads of getting and stacking his old hand called for help. This is grandpas old farm.

5 or 6 of these too.....20150624_123555_zps7obge0pc.jpg

806, good for Anacortes. So stupid. It's what, 10 miles away? But their unused "right" can irrigate your spud fields on a island. The crooks want 10000 cfs right? 325gpm.....your kidding. Running 1 1.3" gun does that! They need a bigger pump! Yep it's not free but it's better than 0 in Sept. 1 field we're irrigating, bad corn field, is wilting on last spot we watered 2 weeks ago already. Watched them cultivate a field below us. Could only follow the dust cloud. Have to irrigate that one from the abandoned dairy lagoon. Diesel pump......= suck. Neighbors got a field he cannot irrigate in any way. It wont last 2-3 more weeks I fear.

Forecast, high 80 for 10 days. E wa, 95 to 100 for 21 days in each Valley and Basin. Not looking good for anyone up here.

This no rain thing is frustrating. But I was thinking last night. Thanks to God we can irrigate. Not all legal but better than 13 for lots of you guys was.

So this may be why the 1066 has bad brakes. I got started on the heavy park lock kit Fri. Got back from moving irrigation tue and Dad got it out. Went to move it yesterday and got back, dad n brother got it in. Was surprised he did it. Volunteering for extra aint his thing of late. But it was different than chores. The brake "drum" looks baaaaaad. Do you guys clean them or turn them somehow? Also do we pull the piston? No oil leakage at all. But the face of it is baaaad too. Rusty and the mid disc has some cooked oil. Everything else is dry. Taking off rt side later. The piece on the "drum" is the dif lock mech right? Going to try resealing it too. That CIH spring kit is crazy. My kids wont be getting it out anytime soon. Gears and pawl looked good. Besides Bob another neighbor restores IHs. Has good sized custon harvesting biz and fab shop now too. He said the pawl looked fine and said 99% of the 66s he does get the kit. Makes a world of dif. Tight linkage and down psi. Think I will find my 1st post on rpm about turning up a 400 engine. Then turn it down some. Set it at 148 last summer. Then redid all the injectors. 14 g/hr on a pump now. But goes like crazy. It fixed the shifting issues. Dont need to, she pulls down anything. ....then spins out! I dare say 170s now. Like it at 140s again. Have to guess since I know the neighbor with the choppers aint got time to fiddle with her on his dyno.

The PUD has 4-900hp pumps in the river the manager said they are using only 1 if they fire up all 4 the town of Skid Row goes dark :D .

Yesterday If I was 20 seconds quicker on Moore road i would have ended the tribal chairmans life since he blew through a stop sigh at 50 mph which might have made our life easier.

The tribes also help ''manage'' Baker dam for the fish, Last friday when the WDFW extended the sportsman season by 2 weeks the river level started to drop, My prediction is when WDFW open up the river to the tribes the river will rise several feet over night to help bring the fish in and to keep their nets from dragging on logs and sticks in the river.

Lol Art! Must of bee a ...stein something engineered that part?

Brad, I would completely agree about managing the dam flows. They are so corrupt and dishonest it's shocking. The Lummi tribe is as bad. Fish is a micro $ part of the res but the world has to revolve around that. The elders roll in caddys and more than once in the last few years a child dies of malnutrition on the res and a teen overdoses. I dont condone running down the leaders but. They are a completely un-negotiable group. The deal has to be all about them. There is talk of putting together 1-2 million and offering it to the tribe to shut up for 10 years about fish/shellfish here. We know they will take it, but will they honor the agreement? Nothing is more disgusting than hearing idiots saying how much 'honor' indians have for x or y. I have yet to see any respect of land, water, or humanity from our local bands.

Maybe you have to trade them some guns and whiskey for water rights? Some Indians here in MI are pretty crooked too. NO offense to anybody on here that is all or part indian.

Friend worked with a guy from the local tribe in construction. He even said they were no good. He got off the res and took nothing. Said it would be the best thing for tribes if they were treated just like everyone else.

Troy, The worst part of the tribe is they don't practice what they preach. They expect everyone else to follow laws of the land except themselves.

Tribal members have been sent to prison for only 9 months for stealing millions of tax money from the feds heck I would take that deal.

Honestly I don't don't know what I or others did wrong to these people in the last 100 years.

This isn't about good or bad people, there are bad apples in every barrel. Look at our own politicians, they're no better, if not worse.

This is about power, control, and money. If the tribes can exert control of water everywhere, surface and underground, then there is no limit to what they can do.

Look what is going on in rural Skagit County.

Imagine now in a few years having to pay a "royalty" to the tribes for the water you pump out of your own well. The potential revenue will dwarf gambling.

Given the fact that every tribal member feels justified in hateing white people for stealing their land, they have no problem with strangling our economy or taking our money.

Even if they have 1/16 indian blood.

And white people are giving the tribes the tools to do it. Casinos are awash in white money. They pay off our politicians with it. They buy lawyers with it. We voted to give the tribal casinos exclusive rights to slot machines. And we allow our public schools to brainwash our kids with the environmental save the salmon crap. We got nobody to blame but ourselves.

if I had any idea what a B it was to do these brakes I would of traded it for a 4040 JD! What a joke of engineering imho. But I have not did a JD brake system. ...bet it's not much better! Called a great local mech and at least he knew enough to stop me from taking the piston cavity casting off. I had no idea it is what shimmed the bearings for the bull pinion. So...tap a freeze plug into the shaft and I can elim the dif lock? Just way more complex than I anticipated.

Ugh....new guy forgot to open tank valve. Dumped $5000 down the drain last night. Good kid too. Getting alarm system installed Monday on reciever vat to scream if he does it again. Not worth hollering. Too late. I never walk by the milk house when checking cows at night. May have to change my routine.

We have added to the routine that every hour someone walks in the milk house and writes down the milk temperature on a clipboard. Can cover a few bases doing something like that

Good idea

100s forcast for next week. Tribe is making move to stop all direct pumpers next week. Not a ton of guys but such BS. I hear if some other smaller citied letting farmers use their extra water rights to irrigate. Feels like the community is building up against tribes. They finally are pushing too hard. Lets pray for rain and maybe a good judge.
