What a day!  Cousin's wife felt so bad about whole deal they went and got a lab pup from another family around the area (own the sale barn) for my girls.  $0!

He remembers that our pup got the prick of the needle then fought him.  He ended up poking him 3x trying to vacc him.  Vet said "there you go"  more you poke more chance of issues.

So the tears are gone!  Should of seen their faces!  Here is Charlie the lab/shorthair pup

Troy, Sorry to hear about the pup. Cute picture of the girls. Looks as if the broken heart club didn't last so long.

9-12 years back the 6 growing areas we buy seed from all had weather issues and lost a huge percent of crop. The only place to get seed was PEI. Very costly PEI to WA. State but what else can you do other then don't grow.  Good chance will see some of that again.

Charlie is doing well!

Monday 5am....hey truck wont move.  I unloaded silage and let clutch out in Lo to creep fwd and no move.

Hes goooood guy so i believe him.  KW shaft from trans to 1st carrier sheared off.  Brought to the old awesome driveline guys, $1025 for all new joints and bearings.  The said the mid one they could not get apart like it was tweaked.  And they all were terribly un balanced.  Cant wait to see if the 35mph vibe quits!

Well Troy I would say from the looks of the spline you got your moneys worth out of them. The bright side you were close to home and not 250 miles away which seems to be my luck when failures happen, then it's a $1,900.00 tow bill to boot.

I asked the tech what happened...he said prob crack (0 rust in splines) during corn.  Pushing peat, mud, loaded and prob too hard gear grab or 2 under that psi.  I know, in the bunker right across from shop.  Pushed to shop an got out.  Had to use a friends ujoint puller thing.  Guy said they are just goofy when they break.  Log truck works all day and in morning ujoint breaks leaving house.  Voodoo stuff like that.

I really had to show restraint....

Sick of shingles blowing off.  Tin for the garage.

Told her next years Christmas card....several friends have sons...

Troy still digging mud here. Trucks so heavy busted up the u bolts on rear suspension turning to go over the bridge. Got the front end loader there to unload the truck into 2 trucks then called Sponge with his flat bed trailer and winched it on then Hauled to the shop.

Glad the weigh cop wasn’t in the area.

Found out the 2 trucks I loaded from this one truck  1 weighed 45,000 the 2nd was 42,000. 87,000 gross - 20,000 means this truck was weighed 68,000 or 48,000 lbs of mud/taters. Know wonder why the tires didn't want to turn. Turns out the weigh cops were on the other side of the freeway 1/2 mile away checking trucks on the frontage road. ?

Is that the River bridge?  Good thing the loader was close!  Umm, are there potatoes in that truck too?  Looks like dirt...??

I heard Greg got most everything now.  THis long spell has been blessing for you dirt farmers.  Looks like wet weekend but not bad.  Went over 20 yesterday....pretty much no snow.  Kinda freaky.  Lets hope for hard and fast dumps in next few weeks to get base started.  Had to get something in Omak.  (look it up if you dont know, Lynden to Omak)  Very pretty drive, lots of black ice and sun though.

Lets see here....

Found this very good deal on CL about 5 hours away.  Figured it wt X...I was wrong.  It wt Y.  Took the scenic route (less traffic) home.  Generally it's closed by now but been dry spell.  2003 FL80 3126, Allison, dbl frame, pto and pump,  inner axle and frt axle lockers.  Under price of nice farm pickup.  Only 132000 miles....was backup garbage truck.  Got home and went over scale.  Head shaking....31000#  But it drives really good.  Tires all 80%.  PTO wont go off though. Switches are off (its electric actuated) but still pump running.  Didn't drive far since that's no good for a pump with no oil.  Somethings clicking when flipping switches but....?   Brother washed it good....I frankly think we could dbl our $ if I took to local Jockey.  Gonna do the hydro oil/diesel wax job to the greens (real paint) and fix some wear items.  Seat pads, window cranks broken, you know work truck stuff.  Only mech issue is some coolant drops on rad support (he told me) and park valve leaks like sieve.  Has 5.39 gears...but with that 6sp ally she turns 1600 at 55...very nice.  Shop said they recommend we have them run the valves.  Guess if they get loose they eat cams and $$ quick.  Sound like cheap insurance.

This econ pickup on a jeep 4x frame was sitting by truck.  Cool deal.

The pup is doing great.  Bittie little stinker though

Don’t most people haul the little truck with the big truck. LOL not the other way around.

That is exactly what the State Patrol officer said when he pulled me over 7 miles from home.  ?  He said looked sorta out of whack.  Took papers, seen i was legal for 30k, I had all papers.  Then he quick pulled next to me and tossed papers and said be safe then tore out with lights on.  I was nervous.

Figured PTO out, weird 2 switch thing.  We will rewire so it's simpler.  Gave it a diesel and hytran rub down.  Looks real nice.  Where can you find parts?  I need some little odds like door pull and inner door handle.  Heater control knob/valve and a new Brake valve, [the yellow leaks like crazy].  Floor mat etc.  Google is not really much help.  I prob just call a yard right over the border Monday to get a few of the "if it's nice it gets treated nicer" things.  I noticed the IH/custom forage guy up the street has 2 FL80s so i'll swing in there.

I was 16 even when I left.  So it wt 15k even.  A load of heifers is 28 to 29000 so not way dif but def different.  On the plus it doesnt move around when your driving!  I will say I would not repeat the trip.  We assumed the truck was 13? or so.  Small engine no bed etc....but the dbl frame thing threw me off.

I think id wear this....

State Farm Bureau meeting....this coffee 'stand" was next to hotel.

I swear the entire non ag community and govt simply think food just magically appears and we make a killing from the magic food fairy.

Sleep time......debating on the 1066.  Sounds like IPTO bearing going out.  Just dont know if worth the $ to repair.  Runs great, new brakes, seat, pto, head, axle etc.  But the hydros cant pick up the Claas rake, hard to shift for wagon/spreader on road use, ta out, tires doa, mcv issues it seems etc.  Locally there is a Gonzo restored one for 10k.  All gone though but needs hydro pump.  Its been a jinx for poor guy.  If gonzo didnt touch it its failed...i seen it be saved.  Let it stew for winter.  A 5240, mx120 like them would be way more useful for us.  We will see this winter....got by with out it most of summer so maybe we just dont need it...?

Ya, hard call on that one.  We used to have a 1066.  It also had the IPTO bearing start going out.  Got that fixed, did the clutch I think, and replaced the TA.  I think the bill was $5,000, and that was about 15 years ago.  That on a tractor I think my dad gave about $5,500 for.

Pics finally worked!

544E ..What a mess...FnR valve under cab lossing orings.  Just a crap show under it.  I debate leaving the belly shield off since it may keep it cleaner if junk just falls out not piles up.  Hour of pwr hose then hot psi wash.  Going in monday since it a bit over my head.

Freinds now!

Finally broke down and got newer car.  Little better mpg and surprisingly roomy for smaller rig.  2013 with 80k but it will work for now.

Has anyone replaces these hydro control levers?  Need to fix the cables too.  But lever broke so.... early 7140.

Getting new dry cow area closer.  Just chipping away.  They neeeeded feed space and few beds.  More to do over winter.  Just doing ourselves.  Neighbors barn was ok but foolish manure system and just pain having 3 places.  This isn't ideal but....1 move here not 2 so that's nice.  Brother is using demo saw to ...edit the lack of a gutter
