Brings back a lot of memories from when we dairied. Sawdust day was always fun and running the spreaders every day you thought you could all winter long. I was even thinking about the "good" ol days last week when we had the -35 wind chills and remembering the feed bunks and tractors that wouldn't run on those days and it took all day to get them going and feed then right back into milking. Still miss the cows and such, but glad I can reminisce about the long cold days. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, she just rolled 10000 last month. FIL went to 22k before trading His G in on a K. Neighbor had 30k then the meter of his 544G freaked out 4-5 years ago and now it says 14000. He figures 40k....all OEM. The 344E we sold to get this 544E (municipal unit) had 16k. Dairyman that bought it now has 25K. Deere is king here loader wise. Few Cats and now 5-6 Komatsu W250s around. Nice loaders.

At least we dont have to spread everyday!!. Thats a Seperator barn to keep the 48" of water off the pile. We make aboouut 1 of them wagon loads /day of solids. Haul 90% of solids off main farm since easier to move and land in town NEEDS organic matter. SOme gets sold to berry guys for their rows.

Nice pics Troy, your new parlor makes it nice for the milker. How many at a time? Two times a day or three?

You are right about Deere loaders. Contractor loader of choice in our area, many 544's

Dennis

Thanks. Dbl 15 delaval. Three x a day. Not 100% sure if 3x pays any more. Been doing 13 years so don't know any better! I have reliefed a few milkings and it is nicer but busy. Just put a radio at 6m anniversary for them. Hid a volume control in the attic so I can keep it peacefull. Some barns are headache inducing loud!! Ours is eirily quiet. Honestly cannot tell if the vacuum pump is on

TD, The tide has changed let the good times roll, It's about dang time you dairy guys get to reap your rewards for all your hard work.

Survival of the fittest for sure they should have a reality TV show of a real farm instead of the that Farm King or what ever they call it not a fan of it.
