Farmall 656 Hydro Question?

If you like your hydro, get one from a junkyard asap. Dad had one without it and the hydro went out at only a couple years old. Along with rebuilding the hydro they added the filter and it lasted for as long as he had it.

Definitely was available, as dad's got it added. Not sure at all when it became factory, as this was all well before I was even a twinkle in my dad's eye! lol But I sure remember with the second 656 hydro that dad bought in the early 90's that dad made note to change both hydraulic filters, and told me the reasons.

My 1969 656 Hydro had a spin on filter for hydraulics when I bought it. I don't know if it was factory or added later.

From looking at the parts book from CIH I think it was a parts add-on. The parts mentions it started on the 656 utility at SN 13238 which would be late 1969. The book doesn't say anything about Farmalls.
