Ron Cook
Well, they are okay, but no thanks to that Case baler. The dust rolling out behind that head was bad on that side of the baler for sure. I used a Bandanna for a dust mask. Early to mid fifties. All most all baling was alfalfa. Just South of Sioux City, near Sergeant Bluff. cedar farm
My uncle that had the baler was from Boyden. Sioux City is 75 miles straight south of me. They also bought a corn picker at that time. Said they paid for it in one year custom picking. Must have been in the 40's because they put it on an M. He bought the M new to replace a WC allis. He said he never farmed until he had the M. The family still has it. Restored it about 10 years ago. His last new tractor was a 706 gas.
