I am sure he does when it is not in the shed.  He takes it to a lot of the local tractor shows and  bales hay with it.  Always gets a lot of attention.

Those Wisconsins were so popular here on swathers in the 1960s and a lot of them sat outside during the off season. Rain down the exhaust if it wasn't covered and they would be hard to start and missing next harvest.

Here is something a little different. A Case-o-matic ad from 1958.

Since there is a thread on the Canadian Versatile 145 elsewhere on this forum I thought this 1971 Versatile ad would fit right in.

Buses might not seem ag related but in fact a lot of farm parts were delivered to small towns by bus for years. Recent news of Greyhound Canada closing down their service to Alberta, Sask. and Manitoba was in the news.  Made me think  of some of  the really cool looking old vintage fifties buses.  No doubt I rode on one  nearly this nice as a kid but I didn't pay it much attention at the time. This 1952 ad shows a Trailways bus.

It used to be if you wanted to see strange people, you would go to the bus station, but now the airport furnishes the same scenery.

The airport? Yes, probably. But strange people scenery can be had much cheaper at the (any) local Walmart!

U-C, you've shown us pictures of more equipment for working on really steep hillsides than I ever knew existed.

Do they have a lot of roll-over accidents, or is that pretty rare?

Crop nearly ready to swath and this was what we would have used in 1956. I'd hate to try cutting canola with one of these little 161 IH swathers or any other make of the time. Of course we didn't grow canola in those days either.

Still enjoying this thread, even after all this time.  BK

Well thats good to hear. Its been over six years now and I still haven't used up all my vintage ads. I'll admit I have re-posted a few when it was necessary.  Like this one for mid fifties Massey Harris combines. My dad had a 60 Massey and you rarely saw them advertised. This ad shows a 70 which I think is even smaller than the 60. Electric table lift? Dad's had hydraulic.

The big model 90 was only for the big wealthy farmers in those days.
