redturbo
I been looking for W4, W9 by them selves. Yet to see either 600/650 yet. Always on the look out thou
Loadstar
This one I have here is not a brochure, just an ad from the 1957 Country Guide that I scanned.
redturbo
I like it, except for the person that made the ad doesn't even likely know what a 650 is. As the 650 has sheet metal of a W9. Also paint scheme is different from the W450.
U-C
Here is a front cover of the BUCHER motor mower model Record broshure. My grandfather had a Bucher Record for a sort time with steel wheels before he traded it for a AEBI AM 52 motor mower. Bucher came out with there motor mower in 1945 with a 9 hp engine. -Urs
Loadstar
I remember this "flexi tooth" from when I was a kid. The Esso (or was it New Holland) dealers handed out a free sample which we thought was pretty neat. I remember experimenting with it seeing how it would melt when pressed onto the lid of the wood stove! Crazy kids! This ad from 1963. Its comments like yours that inspire me to keep on with this video obsession. I've got some vintage tractor work video in the camera from this week and as soon as I can get to editing it will be on youtube. Also stay tuned for some really fine drone video of my harvest thanks to my nephew and his drone. I didn't have time to fly both the drone and the combine. :-) And just to keep it on topic, here is a vintage ad from 1962 featuring a Case tractor and a combine similar to (but newer than) my dad's first model A Case combine. Auto steer and auto control from a new combine will let you fly that drone while combine is going Ralph. Heck it will even let you take a nap. Good videos and pictures Ralph. Loadstar
Interesting to see horse pulled mowers with an engine drive. All the horse powered mowers I ever knew were ground drive. Steel wheel with lugs that provided the drive to a gear box. I was always amazed how they worked at all but people cut hay with them for years. On another subject, winter is coming so maybe time to think about putting some Mobiloil arctic in your cars and trucks to prepare. A 1939 ad. I have the two brochures that seem to be combined in this one. One is the A& B brochure. The other is the H & M brochure and they are the same coloring and were date coded in late 1939. Loadstar
Allied sold a lot of front end loaders here in the 1970s. This one is installed on a 656 IH tractor.
lightninboy
Here there were some Allied loaders...grain augers were fairly popular...did Allied pretty much have a monopoly on bale stookers?

George 2
Yes, the Farmall 656 was a very versatile tractor. I have one on my farm and it is my favorite of all the tractors (Including Magnums and a Maxxum). I call mine "Old Reliable" and it will start unassisted on any day of the year anytime. The only thing is that it will not run smoothly on anything less than the super premium 91 Octane gasoline. But that is a small price to pay since I use it less than 50 hours per year.
