A tornado hit parts of Racine Tuesday morning and there was damage to the CNH tractor manufacturing plant and the parts warehouse that is adjacent to the plant. We were supposed to haul a Magnum305 out of there this morning, but don't know if that happened!

Here is another station`s report on it

I did my College Internship at Service Training in Racine , it was behind the Transmission plant on Hwy 11

From what I was understanding from what they were saying on the radio this afternoon, it sounded more like it was the Transmission plant that was hit, by figuring on what they said was closed this afternoon

From what I remember, the Tractor plant is near the Lakeshore, the Transmission plant is on the edge of town, near where the old Parts Depot was.

I believe it happened, but I was curious which plant it was.

Which plant was it???

The storm damaged the T-plant at 7100 Durand Ave. The old tractor assembly building (Clausen Works) by Lake Michigan was leveled a few years ago with a wrecking ball.

CNH sent everyone home today who was at the T-plant after the storm. The training school closed and dealer support (in the front part of the T-plant) closed too.

The tractors are now assembled at the transmission plant on Durand.
