I have loved the 1066's, since I was a young boy, now I have 2 myself, and my dad has 2, so I was wondering if anyone has started a registry of this model? If not I am looking forward to starting this one, like everyone else, I would like serial#, name of owner, town, and state located. I will even keep track of the retired (salvaged) 1066's. Thanks everyone!!

As far as I know, no one has started one. I'd kicked the idea around myself, but, considering that IH produced around 50,000 of those tractors, well, I knew I couldn't properly dedicate the time needed to keep a decent list. Around my area, a guy can't throw a rock & not hit a 1066, they are everywhere!

I'd considered doing just a Blackstripe 1066 registry, still haven't decided on that.

If you do start one, I'll be glad to send you as many numbers as I can. There will be a LOT!

Well guy's, it might be a lot of work, but I have always liked the 10's and I think its a thing we can all look back on someday!! I am going to give it my best shot, I will try do the blackstripes seperate, and I will do the best I can to get every # sent to me, by pm's or just regular posts. I will give everyone a thank you if I have received your info, if you don't get a thanks watch for it, or pm me. With driving truck and working around the farm, some nights I don't have time to check in. All your help is appreciated. So send those #'s please. Thank you all!!

Oh man. maybe wait another 20 years until they actually become antiques  theres still 100's of them earning aliving out here in the west. ours is used as a chore tractor almost daily for moving bales and parts, etc. they aren't being used quite as much, i can remember not many yrs ago 66's or 86's on every other section here. used for cultivating etc. they are getting retired down to auger tractors now some still beinged used for bailing

I just purchased SN #56423. It is a 1975 Black Stripe. I bought it out of Pennsylvania and the fellow I got it from bought it out of New York. It has original paint with decals from the Delaware Farmers Exchange in the black stripe. The key chain was from Buckeye Tractor and Implement which I believe is the private dealership which used to be the co-op called Delaware Farmers Exchange.

Here's more I obtained from work:

International 1066, s/n 45384, owned by Karl Frederick of Winside, NE

International 1066, s/n 31573, owned by Brian Hoffman of Winside, NE. Its a feedwagon tractor

International 1066, s/n 41406, owned by Marlin Mozer of Battle Creek, NE. Has a Koyker K5(?) loader on it

International 1066, s/n 28045, owned by Van Neidig of Battle Creek, NE. Another feeding tractor

International 1066, s/n 33346, owned by Rolly Oswald of Bancroft, NE. We repainted this one @ work.

International 1066, s/n 59771, owned by Kenneth Schulz of Battle Creek, NE. It is a Blackstripe, I think it has a Hiniker cab

I know there's more in my neck of the woods, I just don't have a record of the serial numbers. This will give ya a starting point!

i guess you can add my dad's to the list:

1976?? Blackstripe

serial # 2610178.....it also had these numbers on the nameplate u056628

Owner: Robert Rivera, Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, Canada

It is used for pulling a tadem disk and for baling. Also used to pull out the 5240 MFD when he gets a little to close to the slew during haying season. These tractors sure can pull and with the duels he doesn't slip to much.

Thanks

Rick

Thanks to everyone that has given me their serial numbers, I am off to a good start, and I know there is along way to go, but thank you, and keep those numbers coming. Like I said, if your at the salvage yards, and find 1066 carcases, get the numbers, they will go in as R.I.P. Again, thanks for helping me off to a good start!!

Here's a pic of mine.

How do you like that step you've got on there? I've been tossing around the idea of putting a set of those on my 1066. I'm not fond of the ones that came with the Hiniker cab. Not exactly the safest thing to get up and off of.
