axial_al
I have a 1.5-2.5 LB engine that starts and runs great, but sometimes gets stuck at idle. You can take the crankcase cover off, reach in and nudge the governor shaft that goes through the block and head to the carburetor/mixer and it will snap free. I have had the head off and tried polishing the square coupler between the block and the head to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this malady and what was it? Thanks in advance for the help. nosih
I had an LA a few years ago where the throttle did not work & the engine speed would change constantly. After completely tearing down the engine, I found the governor assembly was not installed correctly, and after following the owner's/service manual, I had it running perfectly.
