axial_al
It is so hot that the 560 diesel started without holding the glow plug. Thought you glow plug diesel drivers would appreciate that. Granted the tractor was sitting in the sun, but the 106 degree temps contributed for sure. Hope all of us get some relief for sure.

T340
We aren't as bad as the SD & NE guys, but I don't care who you are or where you are at, you start bumping 100deg and put a 10-20 mph wind behind it it stinks. I think western SD is running 110 or so and we are only around 100 but none of us are outside busting a gut. It's bad in northern plains this week. I actually seen a dust cloud blowing across my pasture grass this morning if that gives you some idea. When the wind can raise a dust cloud on grass it is time to call the dogs and piss on the fire. The show is over. I went by and looked at your post Al and you aren't far from me. I am about 40 miles SE of Sioux City so you know what I am talking about. Sorry. THE snowman
My wife just got home and called me to say that our weather station at the house is reading a heat index of 115 degrees. Edit: I did some looking aroung on the net and think the weather station is wrong, I'm seeing a heat index of 103 deg at MSN weather. Can't call the wife and question her she'd get med at me. I have red blood
Its 101 and the wind is blowing up to 30mph. I can just tell the corn is turning brown as the day progresses. I thought that we would get to actually combine some dryland corn this year as we had plenty moisture until last week. Now it will make good silage
bindernut
at 12:45 today, the thermometer outside our shop(in the shade) said 104. No idea what it got up to later in the afternoon, they sent us home at 2. I woulda stayed if I could've, we're behind again! Mark
