Which includes my area of the Finger Lakes region experienced over 39,000 lightning strikes.  The storm covered parts of Ontario, Canada, New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.  From 6:30 until after 10:00 it seemed like a non-stop light show.  High straight line wind and hail also occurred.  Have not been far from the house this morning to see what damage has happened.

A lot of folks in your area are suffering these storms! And we are in a sever drought! Our well is gown 6' from normal and the trees' are suffering because of it, leaves on some are turning color now. Hate to go into winter dry, the ground under buildings is shrinking and causing door issues.

Had some rain the past few days but still quite dry and below the normal amount received for the summer.  Monday the lawn was very brown but expect that to change with the recent rain.

Scooted just to the south of us. Good lightshow over the lake though. No tornados or wind. Only .2 of rain here.

1.5 inches here last evening at 630. Really dumped buckets for half hour. Two miles west didn't get a drop. Go south and east and their burnt up. Here were having a good corn silage season.

I believer we got the southern end of the same storms.  We have been in severe drought according to usda and the local crops show it.  There has finally been some significant rain the last 2 weeks including the storms last night.  I think we are over 8" rain in 2 and a half weeks.  Crazy lightning like you said.

Last night we were on the edge of the storm. No rain but very nice light show. Up near CIHTECH they had a very nasty storm. Went thru there today and had lots of tree limbs and leaves in the road.

Got caught in the heart of it, picked up our new ambulance at dealer and was coming home with it. Almost traded paint with a gigantic farm tractor tugging a bagger at mach3 taking his half out of the middle.
