1969 Chevy Impala 4 door in Sherman tank green!  With a 396 and a TH 400!  My mother used to tow the horse trailer with it after adding a hitch, airbags and electric trailer brakes.  Very sporty!  LOL

It was a hand me down.  My sister drove it to schools too before me.

It threw a timing chain on me out on the interstate on the way home from college about an hour and a half from home.  That was fun in the days before cell phones!  At least back then no one was afraid to pick up a kid walking down the side of the interstate.

Be an awesome drivetrain laying around to build a car with

1976 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, white with blue vinyl top, 350 2bbl with the breather flipped. It was a good car that was tough because I just drove it without doing regular maintenance.

When l was junior in high school, l went to live an aunt and uncle so l could finish school. He drove a school bus everyday and would bring it home at night. So in the morning l drove his 1968 Ford F-100 Ranger XLT to school. When he got to school and unloaded the kids, he would leave in it and go to auctions. (He was a cattle buyer) Then drive the pickup back to school then l would drive it home. l think it was a 360 V-8 and 3 sp auto. Even had the dealer add-on A/C and those fancy little bed rails.

My first car was a 56 Dodge Custom Royal, 315 Red Ram V8, PowerFlite (2spd) auto. Bought it for $9 at a neighbors farm sale, I was about 12. He owned a shop in town and car was abandon there because block had a freeze crack. I got it running and drove it around the place some. Sold it to our rural mail carrier for $25. My first to drive to school by myself was the 66 Scout 800. All 4 of us kids learned to drive that Scout and drove it to school. 16 miles on unimproved dirt, we all learned about driving in 4x4 in that Scout. I still have it, was 1 year old in this 1967 picture.

I slid my 73 Challenger off a cliff...

I fixed it back up though.

Mid 1970’s Chevrolet Station wagon. If I recall it was a ‘Kingswood’.
