Well i hope not.  He can take comfort in knowing that no one on Earth will loose more money on a 560 then me.

If you enjoy the tractor while you have it regardless of the model, color, size or condition then i recon thats all that matters .

Your in the wrong hobby if turning a profit on these old gals is your intent.

Got a question about that particular 560. The OP talked about " heavy tillage gears" Could someone please explain.... or  was that only part of the sales pitch?

Sorry for this question and it may be painfully obvious, but who or what is OP?

TIA Sam

That's the impression I got. It almost sounded like he was fishing for someone to say that it was worth every penny he was asking. Or that someone on the forum couldn't live without it. All anyone here can do is give an opinion or relay what they see in their area. If it's not what he wants to hear so be it.

Start looking for the thread he made about restoring one. It turned out looking better than new.

I think only a moderator can delete a thread. Unless the op asked them to.

There was a package on them with the heavy tillage gear that if im remembering correct 3rd gear was geared lower for tillage. It was denoted by a triangle on the serial number tag.

Our 460 is equipped with the heavy tillage gear option. Ill try to remember to look tomorrow at the serial number tag to see if im remembering correct about the symbol on the tag

I assume it was deemed a for sale ad and was deleted by a moderator.

It did have an original manual with it, that had to add at least a couple of thousand in value.

Not a bad looking old 560, but ya I think he is way high on it.  Think he is placing a lot more value on the turbo and sentimental value than most potential buyers would?

The Third Speed Heavy Tillage Gear was denoted with a CC on the tag. The triangle on the tag was added when they updated the bearings in the rearend.

You're right. Couldn't remember correctly.

Ours has the CC prefix on the tag for the record. Knew it had it. Just wasn't remembering the prefix correctly

I'm not an expert, but seems to me a 560D with a turbo on 18.4's is just begging for rear end/ trans issues. Just way too much HP on those gears; bet when it's under a load you can hear the bull gear bearings begging for mercy!

If you used the same size equipment as it was built for and use common sense it would probably be ok? But I agree with what your saying.

I have a 460 gas here with S - Y and a triangle.

560 diesel with S-Y-C_C.

Just a personal observation.  Had a customer with a pair of 560 D with turbos 18.4 38 rice and canes pulling 5-18's each. Just for the record. The engines gave up first.

Was the turbo dealer installed or?
If’n I was looking to buy a 560- I think I’d be inclined to stay away from one that’s had a turbo installed on it. For what that’s worth…
