td-9 engine clutch

I have a late 50's td9 and need to adjust the engine clutch. How hard is it supposed to be to turn the adjusting ring? Will it turn with fingers or does it need some persuasion? I tried yesterday and my fingers would not turn it. Thanks.

Remove ring lock,it can be stiff to move.Use small pry bar or if very tight a copper drift.Move it one notch and refit lock tab. Good luck

becareful nut to loose the lock ring thing in the bellhousing. i think it is a 9/16 wrench is need for the 2 lock nuts. you back the nuts off and pull the lock out enough to slide by the notches. just tap the notches and the adjuster will turn. hit it to the passenger side of the cat( american driving style, LOL)

thansk
