The spot of gold paint peeking out on the back of hood was a tell tale sign in the first pictures. And obviously the bidders know what it is. The serial number should give people an idea of the month that these gold demos were produced. And they probably were even two months and not consecutive numbers. Quote

acem Posted April 4 Posted April 4 A friend had a gold 826 with the IH diamond cab on it since it was bought new. It was an IH cab but it could have been installed at the dealer. All who would know have passed on. Quote

Dmnstr8r Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Gold demos all had factory cabs as an option. I have a Farmall 544 that doesn't wear one today, but was born with one. Still has the turn signal and fuel tank skirts with the holes for lights for an ice cream box cab setup. The hydro cowling has no holes for the hydrostatic badge like those found on fender equivalents. Fenders are not gold. 3 Quote

Problem is I don't have big enough fields to turn it around in .... 1 Quote
