Lost an IH pulling legend

Just to let you all know Richard Cool owner and Pilot of Hot Stuff passed away, detail of services are still in the works. I personally will miss him, he was a buddy and all around good man! May he he rest in peace! Holy cow Heaven better watch out all them old school boys are showing up, the stories that have to be flying around would leave a guys sides hurting.

Watched him pull for many years. Prayers for the family.

I met Richard at a pull in Tomah Wi yeasr ago  (early 80s).  We were both running in the Pro Stock class at that time.

Just by happenstance, we parked beside each other in the pits,  got to talking, and had a good time at the pull.

We both finished in the middle of the pack (30-some tractors, if I remember correctly).

That year, a bunch of Indiana boys looked real good.  I remember that  Steve Roudebush (MF Express) won...Bill Vorehs (Orient Express) was second in a pulloff.

Also at the top were the Tasmanian Devil (Longeberg), Bad Company (Brock), and also a few Deeres from Ohio had good showings.

For some reason, I remember that last thing Richard said to me when we parted was:  "I'm glad all these guys are going home with you".

May he RIP.

That sounds like him, he was always pretty easy going when I was around him, I met him through a mutual friend that I antique pulled with, gotta be getting close to 20 years ago now, town just down the road from his place, Emerson Iowa, he was a hoot and helped me figure out some things on my tractor that made it better. We may have had more than a few drinks together over the years! Seems like his daughter was maybe 14/15 at the time, we drank all the beer my buddy had brought, Richard looked at Sarah and sent her to the store to get more, no money and that young, I asked if he wanted me to go with her since I was legal, he said nah they know her there and they'll just right it down for me to pay next time I'm in there! All I could think is only in SW Iowa lol!
