One time we went to France via the "Chunnel", at some point in our trip I spied a Farmall C. Upon taking a closer look, I saw it was a diesel; I would love to have one of those would be really unique over here! 2 Quote

We never got those over here. The 634 was a 66hp tractor built in Doncaster, UK. I believe the 634 was the "follow on" from the 614 which was built in 1963 through to 1968 - the 634 then followed through to 1972. Quote

We never got those over here. Well TNHB...you should have asked me that question, back in '24 !!! I brought a 634 new,,(also a 276 which is pictured,.. )....634 had a 281cubic inch engine..I believe only 4000 were made...It came with either flanged axles or 100 inch sliding axle (Farmall type )...I had the sliding axle and dual wheels...It was an excellent tractor....(I am biased...)...one of the biggest one around our area at the time...I did a lot of contract work with it..and ultimately fitted a Ford back hoe on the back of it....for Forestry work...(culverts etc.. ) I eventually sold it...but have two complete and one parts 634 in my optimistically and impossibly....(t be restored.....) line up of old IH iron.. The B614 model preceded the 634....and IH dropped the "B'' with the advent of the 634 (B for British )...I had also an A554 "A" for Australian made ..and thanks for the "B" for British Lady who posted these pics... The odd United States IH from that era was imported....and the proud owner no doubt hummed the ""Stars and Stripes' as he turned the sod....and gave the fingers to the luckless peasants who could only afford the hard starting "B" examples ...... Yes Jeff, lots of incompetent drivers coming down our country lanes being unable to reverse for a standard tractor.. so I dread to think the chaos that a four wheeler would cause!! 😅 Quote

IHRedRyan Posted February 7 Posted February 7 Lots of B-250/275/414s and 434s came to Canada , and I see them pretty regularly on Marketplace today here in Ontario. I have never seen a 614 or 634 though. The smaller models would physically be easier to ship. Maybe the North American mothership didn’t want the higher horsepower offering to be as crowded either. 2 Quote
U-C Posted March 3 Posted March 3 one of our neighbors that rented one of the other three tenant farms (one was rented by my parents) had a Neuss Germany made International Harvester sadly I do not remember the model but I hope there is a photo somewhere that picture it. I do remember that when they moved away from the farm the successor took it over later I have heard that tractor was miss used and ended every likely in the junkyard after. 1 Quote
