My fuel truck is an IH used throughout the farming season.  And my 76’ Loadstar seeded 2,000 acres of durum this spring

Been years since I've seen a hoist like that going.

Ethanol plant here in town started life in the 80s as a grain Elevator that eventually built a Ethanol plant on in 2006. 

Pit 1 had one of those on it. Watched it work for years. Only thing was when running a tractor and gravity wagons with dual hubs and longer axles you had to be careful because it got tight between the posts.

They quit using it probably early 2000s? ( trying to remember if it was still in use when I graduated from High School in 2002 or not) Sat unused for a number of years until they ripped it out.

Does it have to be pre merger or not?

Running a 88 9370 Eagle but that's post merger Navistar.

Doesn't matter, could be IH, Navistar, or International.

Shoot, I don't really even care what brand or year it is, just love to see oldies still doing work.

Pictures would be an added bonus!

There’s a bunch of IH trucks around here. For years the IH dealer in Salina was THE truck shop to use. 
Guess I only got the one picture of IH. But I think they are still the predominant brand for the farmers.

There was a paper/chem plant here for decades for GP.  Built the community S of me into the big town it became.  They ran them out 20 years ago with un workable regs.   They dumped wood chip truck with a deck like that but it would be a honest 70* tilt at the top end. 

 

This co in E WA been around for years for spuds and onions.  There used to be alot for sweet corn trailers but not sure nowdays.  Oh all sweet corn is in what appear like open top 30' van trailers and they tip em to unload.

Two brothers, here , in the 80’s ran a red and white and green and white cab over IH’s 318 Detroits. Dad would have them haul grain from the farm to the river. Wish I had pictures!! But I can still picture them as clear as a bell, sitting in the driveway, when I was 6-7 years old.

Gramps has a 79 4070b and I have a 81 9670. Dad has a 73 1800 with a 392 and 5+4. The blue and white one is one I found last weekend and tried to buy but it’s supposedly gonna get fixed one day

I am hauling soybeans with a 85 IH 9370 pulling a 50+ year old Hobbs Hopper bottom (cable opening). 

Also use a couple Loadstars around the farm but not hauling soybeans to market with them now.  That's a 100 mile round trip.

Thats custom, most of the sugarbeet growers around here put big hitches on the front. I've pulled way more trucks out of the field than I would like to admit. We have never had sugarbeets, but I helped my FIL with sugar beets for over 20 years.

You're more ambitious than i am anymore. No way am I spending a fall getting in and out of a cabover. 

The amount of times in and out of that cab. Especially if im loading out at the bins and am pulling ahead and then getting out to watch when I have to move again would get old in a hurry. 

Lol, you are 2 years younger than me. It does get old, but we have a Sterling and  a Pete both day cabs, so I only have to climb i  that thing every third truck.

Locally everything is end dumps. With sugar beets being the biggest reason for trucks, hopper bottoms never caught on. I would love to have a set of hopper doubles, but we bought dump doubles for 1/3 cost.
