Lumber anyone?

Recommended Posts

Well, remember back in February when I cut down a couple of pine trees?  One was dead and rotten.  The other was fine and I got 5 logs out of it.

I finally got around to taking them to the saw mill.  This is the same one I had cut up the oak logs to replace my trailer bed.  He called me Saturday and I picked up the lumber Tuesday.  All 2x4s and 2x6s.  When he told me $203 I was a little shocked, it was only $67 for the oak.  Well the amount of lumber out of those logs was worth it.

Now I have to figure out where to store it.   The saw mill guy said it was more than likely a "slash" pine.  It's a variation of the long leaf.   Was surprised how clear the wood was.  Not a lot of knots.

Stack it tight and well stickered or you will have a new post “hockey sticks anyone?” And paint the ends
