Camaro, what year?

Recommended Posts

I never liked the 68 re-mode of all the GM mid-sized cars, and especially the butchered corvette. I think the best looking GM's were the 64 to 67, after that GM never recovered with multiple bad designs masquerading as smog specials. A 66 Impala SS with a 427, 4 speed, he!! of a ride. 66 GTO, the LeMans was no slouch either.

I drove them fresh out of the box! on gas that cost 34 cents per gallon for super hytest for the 427, 425 HP, found in Southern  California at Chevron Stations.

That 700r4 must really be nice. In that car

I regret selling my 1993 Z28 6 speed about  10 years ago. I get in my 4 speed car and out of habit go for 5th wishing there was 6th. If I ever get the itch ( highly unlikely) for another csr it will be a modern fuel injected car with 6 speed manual  air etc.

This redneck is happy in my pickup truck with a catback

Not a Chevy guy but the round tail light camaros are the best looking imo, tho none are bad looking up thru that bodystyle.

Buddy in high school had and still has a 67. I prefer 67 and 68 out of all of them.

Not mine, a friend just painted this car for another buddy. They were putting the bumpers and trim on when I showed up at his shop last week. 2nd owner car, rust free.

So what year is it?

'67 Rally Sport (RS). Has a built 383 with 4 spd auto, no AC or heat.

The bumpers are repops and are as flimsy as spaghetti noodles. Typical for the times.

The 67 your Mom bought new is very cool. Up here its worth crazy money with those miles on it

I bought this one new as well 44 years , no winters and about 80,000 miles on it . Might try for 50 years but the next time I need a pickup truck I might be looking at its tail lights. Original paint, original BOS , I can tell you every place its been and who has rode in it. They are just starting to be  worth some money. I put a roller cam , exhaust and heads on it. I have every original part that's been ever taken off it including exhaust but I cut it to get it off ( one piece that requires rear lowered to get it out). I have both sets ( steel and alloy) of GM  wheels and a set of Welds

Few years ago a Fox body guy in a car club cruise was talking crap about my car. The group had a route and he was behind me. We came to a stop and I took off and he was waaaayyyy behind me. The next time we got out of the cars he was little less cocky and asked if my car was stock . 🏎️

I have a very similar looking Camaro, but in nowhere near as nice shape.

If you are seriously considering letting yours go I would be quite interested in it!

I am not considering it until I need the money for a pickup or at least that will be what I tell myself. I won't sell it and just put the money in the bank because it will eat at me and , I don't really need the money. If I sell it in the future I would remember you have interest in it but I have a SIL and nephew that want it. Once I retire I am afraid I will regret it, I would love to go on the Hotrod Power Tour again, so it stays for a while

Went by yesterday and it was gone looked like it was loaded on a trailer. I hope it gets restored or is parted out to keep others going.

I have yet to see the owner of the property to ask him about the car

A guy in a 'Vet asked what was in my '40 Ford after I smoked him. I said "flat head" which was of course, a lie, but he looked disappointed in his car.

Only driven a 6 Speed in a medium duty truck and that is direct in 6th

The two cars with 5 speeds I have I hardly use 5th unless I am on a long interstate drive

I prefer to be in a gear that’s going to put the most power to ground in case I have to school someone

Best friends mom in highschool bought a 67 RS/SS new . Sadly it sat since mid 80's until very very recently. I just talked to another friend and he said it was moved recently. Hopefully she has let her oldest son get it to restore as he was in tech school for body shop and he has wanted it since we were in school. White (with red stripes?) I think it had stripes....been over 35 years since I saw it

at least he didn't say the ultimate cop out " my car isn't running right today" 🤣
