From 5800 to 12100

Launched at Colorado City. And went up Cisneros and St Charles on a 1989 Xt600. Another "can you?" Yes. Should you? Absolutely not. A 350lb adventure bike was not the correct choice. But...the views. But the 31 miles of slippery rocks and switch backs and roots....not fun

Thanks for the pictures!

My poor wife would be green with altitude sickness at 12100. We went to Yellowstone for our honeymoon and once we got above around 6000 she started getting uncomfortable; by 9000 she was miserable.

20 years ago, I could dig a stuck sled out on the side of Two Top next to West Yellowstone without breaking a sweat at 10,000'.

Now, I wonder if I'd sweat sitting down at the bar in a town @ 5000'.

Looks like a really nice all-around bike and a pretty good place to ride it. If it were easy then everyone would do it!

Gorgeous country, you have to re jet?

Nah. I sorta just send it. It's rich but it really doesn't matter when I only use 1st and 2nd gear. It has more than enough hp to kill me even at 12k 😄 🤣

Looks like a fun ride and gorgeous scenery. I’ve been to 12K’ elev. Takes a bit to get used to when home is about 400’ elev.
