billonthefarm
Hard to believe a design from 1977 could have been so advanced to still be viable. If these two could tell stories what a tale it would be. 27

utility 64
The Axial Flow 1440 from 1977 must surely be among the first machines marketed. I love these machines. Thank you very much for this beautiful photo 😍 It would be interesting to open a topic dedicated to these revolutionary machines with of course anecdotes from sellers, factory employees or users from all over the world. Whether from the first machines to the latest; and why not on the new products to be released such as for example the new 160 series machines; 260 or the new big machine of which we are starting to see some photos. utility 64
I saw it ; but you can put photos on recent machines; old ones or on future prototypes?
Farmerboy72
I remember when dad had a Gleaner F and he upgraded to the 1440, what a difference! After that, we ran a 1644 on our acreage. And starting this fall we will run a lower hour 2344 that I purchased this summer. Hard to beat the axial flow.
utility 64
Thank you for your comment In Europe ; at least in France the small 1644 models; 2144 and 2344 were never released. I have American documentation on these little machines.

IHandJDman
I upgraded last year from this 1460 to this 2144, which also happens to be the 1st 2144 made. It's in the shop getting around $10,000 in work done to it. I'll be running my own soybeans for the 1st time since 2019, this year. 8

When I was 8 years old dad traded his f gleaner my grandfather bought new for a 815 diesel low profile. He had a 5000 versatile gas combine also he traded that for a 1978 1460 in 1981. They were a couple of big machines for the time.

I’m jealous of the amount of shed space you must have to keep this all under roof. 😀 5
